Rare Coalport Pair of Tom Keeling Lidded Tankard Vases for Tiffany & Co New York 42cm

Item: Impressive and very large pair of Coalport lidded tankards, paw footed urns. Beautifully hand painted romantic scenes by Tom Keeling, the first entitled ‘The Fair Musician’ and the second one entitled ”Sunny Climes”, both signed ”T. Keeling”, richly gold gilded on a deep cobalt blue ground.
These are the largest size pieces Coalport produced and were usually produced for exhibitions or as a show piece for a retailer. In this case, Tiffany & Co New York.

Condition Report: Excellent condition – one tankard has had professional restoration to a hairline. As shown, they display beautifully. The other piece is in fine condition. As shown, they are stunning and very large.
