A Handley is recorded to have been working at the Coalport factory before Thomas Bott but had worked alongside Bott for a number of years at Coalport. Earlier pattern names of Cupids painted in white enamels or ‘Bott style’ were titled ‘Limoge Cupids’.
I believe this work of art was made for the Chicago Exhibition of 1893.
